Even Hotel, an upscale wellness hotel brand owned by Intercontinental Hotels Group, has opened in Miami after three years of construction.
Epelboim Development Group, led by Noel Epelboim, built the 190-room hotel at 3499 N.W. 25th St. Each room has exercise equipment including resistance bands, an exercise ball, yoga mat, yoga block and on-demand fitness videos. Suites come with a spin bike.
“At IHG, we always look for the right development opportunities in the right markets with the right owners, and we are enthused to work alongside Epelboim Development Group …” Joel Eisemann, IHG’s chief development officer for the Americas said. “We look forward to our continued partnership with Epelboim Development Group in expanding the Even Hotels brand in the Southeast.”
Seventy-nine people were hired to staff the property. Other amenities at the hotel include a large gym, the brand’s Cork & Kale healthy foods restaurant and bar, 4,200 square feet of meeting space, free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour business center.
There are nine other Even Hotels open, including ones in Sarasota and New York City.
Epelboim Development Group built the hotel in part through the EB-5 program, which awards visas to international investors who back U.S. projects that generate jobs.
